Painting in the Vineyard

Discover your inner artist at a Painting in the Vineyard event! We invite you to grab a glass of wine and a paintbrush and join us for a fun and relaxing outdoor experience. Bring your friends and family and capture the scenery on canvas. Our local vineyards provide a beautiful, stress-free environment that will both inspire your creative spirit and indulge the wine-lover in you.

No painting experience necessary–a trained, local artist will walk you through the entire two-hour painting process step-by-step, and you’ll take home a landscape painting of your own to commemorate your trip to wine country.

Consider a private painting event to celebrate birthdays, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, anniversaries, girls trips, family reunions, corporate team-building events and more.

Visit www.artspotonwheels.com to see our full array of Painting in the Vineyard classes. Or call 805.325.8092 to inquire about private events.

Along with Painting in the Vineyard events that are already scheduled on our calendar, we host private events at local vineyards as well as your location.

Lake Cachuma

Recreation Area

Cachuma Lake, set in the wilderness of the picturesque Santa Ynez and San Rafael Mountains, lies beautiful Lake Cachuma Recreation Area. Here you will find practically everything you need for a relaxing getaway in the great outdoors. Mild temperatures, typically sunny skies, and great fishing conditions make camping here during winter months exceptionally enjoyable.

The County entered into a long-term lease with the Federal Bureau of Reclamation in 1953 to manage the 9,000 acre Cachuma Lake Recreation Area. Cachuma Lake was formed by the construction of Bradbury Dam in that same year.

Located off scenic Highway 154 in the Santa Ynez Valley, Cachuma Lake is midway between the beaches and bustle of Santa Barbara and the Danish Community of Solvang. At any age… in any season… you’ll find that the Cachuma Lake Recreation Area offers a fun and relaxing getaway.

From the South: Take Highway 101 north to Santa Barbara. Take the “Cachuma Lake/Highway 154” exit and follow the signs.

You'll find a fully stocked general store, gas station, coin-operated laundromat, and hot showers. Great care has been taken to make our facilities accessible to everyone. Children's playgrounds, lake cruises, the nature center, fishing piers, and hiking trails await you and your family. The Marina is open year-round and sells bait and tackle, fuel and fishing licenses with a full rental fleet to get you out on the water.
Dogs are Welcome! The money collected from the dog fee program has paid for and will continue to upkeep a dog park for you to take advantage of when you come to stay with us! Please be sure to read the signs before you enter and remember all other rules still apply. Dogs are required to be on a leash of 6 ft. or less anywhere else in the Park. We ask all dog handlers to bring a current copy of proof of rabies vaccination. Don't forget dogs are allowed in boats, as long as they have no contact with the water at any time. There is a fee per day per dog.
